PG Tape
(Polyester Resin Glass Banding Tape)
PG-F and PG-H are made of highly tensile glass yarns laid parallel and bonded with polyester resin. PG-F is used for Class F insulation and PG-H for Class H insulation. They are supplied in B stage and turn into high tensile strength and low elongation insulating material after heat curing. They are used to replace steel banding of armature coil of DC motors and banding of dry type and resin molded type transformers. PG tapes should be stored at temperatures below 10℃ and brought back to room temperature before use. Shelf life is approximately 6 months at 20℃ and 12 month at 10℃.
